Overnight at the Snowbowl

January 18, 2018

With so many options of outdoor activities here in Washington, how does a family decide to start the Holiday season? There is a hike along the I-90 corridor with classics like Mt. Si or Franklin Falls. A day on fresh pow at one of the ski resorts. Sledding or tubing followed by hot chocolate. All … More Overnight at the Snowbowl

Conquering my Mountain

August 9, 2017

For years I have stared at this mountain in awe. Catching glimpses as I drove on the hi-way, standing in her shadow as I hiked on trails, hoping one day I would stand on her 14,000ft peak. Just another day hanging around at work!
Some days school is as simple as reading a book, asking “I wonder” questions and playing a game. Add in a points system, tally marks and some addition, math done ✔️
Every day is a day worth celebrating with you! Love you my mountain man 🗻🤍
Spending time outside moving our bodies and sharing one of our favorite things always brings a smile to my face. I can never get enough of days like this ☀️
Remembering to be thankful every day for the life I have been given and the people I get to share it with ☀️
I’m always a little behind these days. Always coming and going. But in the midst of it all Dad and I got to get away to visit family and soak in a little Southern California sun and salt air.
In the last 6 days I’ve spent 3 of those in the mountains with these two. That’s a ratio I hope to keep up this winter!
Life goes by way too fast, but it’s been a beautiful year ✨
We checked off one more WA state park before the end of the year! Riverside SP in Spokane was beautiful in a blanket of snow, and so worth the stop on the way home. It’s days like these that I’m reminded why it’s so important to slow down, take the detour and say yes to being curious ✨
